i have four shifts left to work at starbucks, and then i'm done. i'm really looking forward to this. i've worked at starbucks for the better part of 5 years. i've made a lot of friends at a couple different stores. i've met a lot of interesting people. i've served a lot of drinks to a lot of people.

but i'm getting out.during my first voice lesson with coty, he gave me a lot of life advice to go along with the vocal techniques. one piece of advice was, "do whatever you have to do, you need to get the heck out of starbucks."

there was a show on the food network that interviewed a baker in south america. one of the things he said while promoting his own pastries was, "If you've ever been to Starbucks...there's no heart, no soul in it."

With the exception of those who see through the bureaucracy and micro-management, this statement is generally true.

so. i'm getting the heck out of starbucks :)
